## PayPal’s Conversion Conundrum: Why Am I Losing Money on USD Withdrawals?

Anyone else out there stumped by PayPal’s seemingly impossible currency conversions?

I’m trying to withdraw money I earned in USD from my PayPal account, directly to a USD bank account. Sounds simple, right? But every time I try, PayPal decides to chuck a curveball.

It *automatically* converts my USD to EUR, even though my account isn’t EUR-based! This means I’m hit with a **terrible** exchange rate, basically shaving off a good chunk of my hard-earned cash. Then, to add insult to injury, my bank takes another cut converting that EUR back to USD!

So basically, I’m losing **30%** of my money just trying to get my USD back into my USD account. Come on, PayPal, why are you making this so complex?

Is there a way to **disable this automatic conversion**? Am I missing something obvious? Surely there’s a solution that doesn’t leave me feeling ripped off.
