Can’t use paypal credit

Description

I have over a $5,000 credit limit and owe just under $1,000. For the last 4 transactions I’ve tried to use a portion of my remaining credit but the payment wouldn’t complete. I had to use my bank account. I just completed a $50 transaction and tried to use a portion of that remaining $5,000 credit but couldn’t. Once more I had to use my bank account. Fwiw, I was shopping on Ebay. What the heck gives? Is this a thing with Ebay or paypal? Am I going to have to turn my business over to Amazon or what?
