Unable to Re-link Wells Fargo Checking Account with PayPal

About six months ago, quite surprisingly, PayPal unlinked my Wells Fargo checking account. Since then, I’ve diligently attempted to re-link it, but every time I try, I receive the same error message indicating that the connection cannot be established. However, it’s noteworthy that my Wells Fargo debit card is linked and functioning perfectly fine with PayPal.

This frustrating issue has left me wondering if I am alone in experiencing it or if there are others out there who have encountered the same roadblock. To paint a clearer picture, in my case, it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the bank itself as I can use my debit card, nor do I believe it’s a PayPal-wide malfunction as my debit card is connected successfully. Could it be related to some unseen security updates or recent changes in PayPal’s policies or Wells Fargo’s online banking services?
