4k Dispute closed in ERROR by PayPal

Description

I’m very confused, annoyed and worried. Had a dispute open over a dispute with a watch worth thousands. I returned it, uploaded the tracking information, and waited for over a month as it said ‘waiting for a response from the seller’. The tracking shows it was attempted to be delivered 3 times, and the seller didn’t accept delivery. PayPal closed the case, saying ‘incorrect tracking information’?? I’m so worried now, what can I do? Am I just 4k out of pocket? If the payment recipient refuses to accept an item sent back to the payment recipient by the buyer at PayPal’s direction), PayPal may award the claim in favour of the buyer, provided the buyer has provided satisfactory evidence to PayPal that the item was sent to the payment recipient at an address supplied to the buyer by PayPal during the claim process.
